Intel surprised with Arc A770M and A730M performance test
Intel’s new Arc 7 series graphics card models, the A770M and A730M, competed with NVIDIA’s RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3060 models.
Intel has been working on both internal and external graphics interfaces for a long time. His investments have finally started to yield results. So much so that the 7-series Intel Arc A770M and A730M outperformed the RTX 3050Ti and RTX 3060 graphics cards in performance tests.
Intel Arc A770M and A730M showed up in the performance test!
Starting to offer entry-level Arc Alchemist graphics cards to the Chinese market, Intel will soon introduce the high-end solutions of the series. Tom’s Hardware today shared the first official performance tests of the Arc A730M and A770M mobile graphics cards based on the company’s ACM-G10 chip.
Intel will introduce new graphics cards through 3 series called Arc 3, Arc 5 and Arc 7. In fact, we can think of this nomenclature as the company’s processor models, i3, i5 and i7. Last week, the Arc A380 graphics card entered a performance test, but it did not perform better than the AMD RX 6400, as Intel claimed.
Now, the Intel Arc 7 series graphics cards A770M and A730M have entered the performance test. This time, their rivals were much more geared and the most preferred by the players were the RTX 3050 Ti and the RTX 3060. Moreover, the results this time brought a smile to the faces of those who were waiting.
When we examine the test including 17 games in detail, we see that the Arc A730M is 5 to 30 percent earlier in 12 of them, and 2 to 20 percent behind in 5 of them. If we put this on average, it manages to perform better with a margin of around 13 percent in total.
The Arc A770M is a slightly more powerful graphics card. Its rival is the RTX 3060. According to the test made on the same games, Intel gives better results by up to 28 percent in 10 games, while experiencing a decrease of up to 10 percent in only 2 games. When we look at the general average of these devices, we see a difference of 12 percent.
In other words, Intel managed to surpass NVIDIA’s graphics cards in both the entry and middle segments. Of course, we cannot say the same for the other members of the series. Because Arc 5s may lag behind claims like Arc 3s. But the Arc 7s definitely managed to put out performance that deserves praise.
As per Intel’s 1080p (1920x1080) results, the Arc A730M depended on 13% quicker than the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Mobile. Intel didn’t indicate the TGP for the A730M, so we can’t place those numbers into point of view. We realize that the A730M in the middle somewhere in the range of 80W and 120W, and the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Mobile ranges from 35W to 80W. Intel involved the 60W SKU for correlation matched with a more slow processor. And still, at the end of the day, the distinction wasn’t extremely significant.
The Arc A770M, the leader versatile Arc SKU, conveyed up to 12% better execution than the GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile. Yet, once more, the TGP for the A770M stays a secret. According to Intel, the A770M sits somewhere in the range of 120W and 150W. In any case, the GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile was at 85W and had a similar last-age processor as the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Mobile. The GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile offers TGP limits somewhere in the range of 60W and 115W, so the tried variation is fundamentally at the midpoint.
The presentation delta between the Alchemist and Ampere designs cards was under 15%. The edges would presumably be lower assuming Intel had matched Ampere with indistinguishable processors like the Intel units and utilized the higher TGP variants. Maybe, it might have even steered the results. Of course, that is the issue with merchant benchmarks. You can’t confide in them.
Intel’s new GPU Arc A380 performance has been revealed
In the introduction of the Arc A380, Intel claimed that they achieved better results than rival AMD’s Radeon RX 6400. However, in tests with popular AAA games such as League of Legends, PUBG, Grand Theft Auto V, Forza Horizon 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, the Arc A380 failed to meet expectations.
The Intel Arc A380 model completed the League of Legends game with 135 FPS in 4K resolution and maximum graphics settings. The Radeon RX 6400 model offered 180 FPS, while the GTX 1650, which was introduced about 3 years ago, offered 172 FPS. According to the test results, the RX 6400 outperformed Intel’s Arc A380 by about 25 percent.
Radeon RX 6400 appeared in Forza Horizon 5 with 24 percent better performance than Intel Arc A380. The Intel Arc A380 is 20 percent slower than both the RX 6400 and GTX 1650 models in Grand Theft Auto V results.
Intel recently changed the Arc A380 reference specifications with an update on its website. The Arc A380 model, whose memory was introduced as 16 Gbps at launch, has been updated to 15.5Gbps on the company’s website.
The Intel Arc A380 has Ray Tracing, DX12 Ultimate and Vulkan 1.3 support. However, there is also Adaptive Sync and Xe Display Engine technology. Intel has announced that its new model can use four 4K 120Hz HDR displays or two 8K 60Hz displays.
