Why is the iPhone called iPhone?

Have you ever wondered why the iPhone is called the iPhone? “Why iPhone?” Apple Answers Your Question!

Apple is trying to answer the question “Why iPhone” by highlighting some of the important aspects that distinguish the iPhone from other smartphones with its new website and various animated commercials on YouTube.

On its new web page, Apple says that the iPhone is more than just a device in your hand and touches on many details that support it. According to Apple, the iPhone is more than just a well-thought-out device, from energy efficiency and recycling to privacy.

The Cupertino-based company’s new ad campaign is a follow-up to the “switch to iPhone” TV commercials and resembles the “Life is easier with iPhone” website that Apple previously used to market what makes the iPhone unique.

Technology giant Apple touches on the special aspects that distinguish the iPhone from other smartphones in each of its six animated text ads.

According to Steve Jobs, the “i” word in “iMac” (and therefore “iPod”, “iPhone” and “iPad”) stands for internet, individual, instruct, inform, and inspire.

With today’s ads, Apple seems to be paying particular attention to sustainability. In the first commercial, it is said that “iMessage on iPhone comes with 100 percent renewable energy”, emphasizing how even a feature like iMessage works in an environmentally friendly way.

The second commercial is called iPhone — Recyling, and it is said that “Apple recycles even the smallest parts of the iPhone”, referring to the fact that the iPhone consists almost entirely of recyclable materials.

In the third commercial, the Intelligent Tracking Blocking feature gained by Safari with iOS 11 is emphasized.

In the fourth commercial, the phrase “Apple will never sell your data” refers to companies such as Facebook and Google, promising high confidentiality.

The fifth commercial emphasizes Apple’s place in recycling with its iPhone, saying, “Apple has developed an iPhone disassembly robot that collects more material than previous recycling methods.”
